  • Enrichment

Our curriculum extends so much further than individual subjects taught in class. We have a carefully planned enrichment curriculum that aims to ensure all children have a rich and varied experiences that aims to build their character, resilience and determination. We want all children to not only achieve at the highest academic level but to have a great time, try new skills and become a valued member of the community.

Children can also join us every morning for a free breakfast before they start their school day.  We have teamed up with Magic Breakfast to offer children a warm, nourishing breakfast that not only supplies vital nutrition but also plays a pivotal role in boosting concentration, attendance and academic achievement.

    Tower of London Trip - Year 5 & 6

Our year 5 and 6 had a great opportunity to visit the Tower of London on Monday 29th September. During the day, the children took part in educational sessions which looked at how the Tower of London had been used as a prison, developed their understanding of empire and looked at the part that trade and migration played in the expansion of the Tower of London. They also had a chance to explore the different buildings and see the Crown Jewels!

    Sports Day

By competing for the school, children develop a deep sense of belonging and self-worth. Each year, every child has the opportunity to compete for the school in a variety of sporting events. Sports Day is a highlight of the year and the whole community gathers to celebrate and cheer on each competitor.

The Calne Neighbourhood Policing Team visited Marden Vale School to deliver an engaging session on road safety and speed awareness for the Mini Police cohort.

The session covered essential road safety advice to help keep our young ones safe. A big highlight for the pupils? Getting hands-on experience with the speed detection device!
