We are adventurers! We had an amazing time on our school trip to the woods, we worked together in teams to build dens, we went on a story walk, we met Millie the pig and we toasted marshmallows! We loved being outside and having lots of fresh air.
Wow! Where has this year gone? We are so proud of all the children's achievements and are looking forward to a fabulous last term together. Here's a little taste of what's to come...
We hatched chicks! We absolutely loved this experience (big thank you to Mrs Cohen), we read lots of chick stories, thought about how to look after and care for a chick and we had chick watch. This led us to producing lots of writing, ending with us all writing our own books.
We had an amazing time with the Dance lady. We put together routines to tell the story of 'The Gingerbread Man' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
We have celebrated pancake day! We read the story ‘The runaway pancake’, we thought about why we have pancakes. We counted 81 pancakes and found out how many we could stack, we compared our stacks and measured the tallest. We thought the pancakes were delicious!
We have had a super start to our new topic, today we celebrated our favourite fairy tale characters.
We took the Dough Disco on the road, and went to share our learning with Calne Memory Club.
Celebrating Chinese New Year ~ we have loved learning about this special occasion and taking part in our own celebrations. Luckily Mr Greedy didn’t come to our party so we were able to enjoy our noodles and prawn crackers, we thought they were delicious.
Phonics PlayThis is an excellent website for supporting phonics learning. We recommend playing games from Phase 2 and Phase 3.
Our learning this week has been based around the story Biscuit Bear. We have been reading, writing, measuring, designing, shopping, and talking about changes! Here are our own biscuit bears!
Looking ahead. Describe, discover, delight. Spring T3 Learning.
